Zoom National Funding & Pay Ballot Briefing Tues 6:30 pm & General Meeting
Following the government’s recommendation of an unfunded 2.8% pay increase for teachers, the NEU national executive voted to conduct an indicative strike ballot of NEU members. Schools are being asked to “find efficiencies” in their budgets for this pay increase. The NEU (along with other unions) estimates that the vast majority of schools will be in deficit over this.
The ballot will be launched on March 1st. In the meantime, register for this meeting so that you know exactly how and why we are balloted!
We anticipate the ballot briefing and the general meeting will take no longer than an hour in total.
