You Are Warmly Invited To Our AGM at the Faanoos Restaurant 11 Bond Street W5 5AP (8 mins walk from Ealing Broadway Tube, near Ealing Town Hall)
The NUT is fiercely proud of its democratic structures. All reps and local officers are elected annually and are always accountable to the members. The AGM is the most important formal event in terms of the democratic process; it is where local officers account for their activities on behalf of the membership and it is also where those elected are endorsed and approved by members. Full Report and Agenda –> AGM Feb 2018
Ealing NEU-NUT hope all members attend, however we can only afford to pay for the first 75 who contact me. Stefan.Simms@neu.org.uk Please give name and school when confirming your attendance.
Special Guests:
Moyra Samuels & A Survivor/Relative
About 100 households displaced by the Grenfell Tower fire are still living in hotels. There have been 24 suicide attempts since the fire, they are both angry and struggling to cope. Show your solidarity and hear first hand this totally avoidable but tragic catastrophe.
Sister Supporter: – An Ealing Pro-Choice group & Teacher
Through the campaigning of Sister Supporter and the backing of the Council there is now a ‘buffer zone’ around the Marie Stopes Clinic. Women have been terrorised and harassed as they try access legally available healthcare. The clinic is in Binda’s constituency. This victory will hopefully have national implications. Bunny Veglio: Sister Supporter & Brent Teacher
Cllr Julian Bell: Leader of Ealing Council and Cllr Binda Rai: Cabinet Member for Children and Young People.
A big thank you to both Julian & Binda for their support in defending the local Trade Union Facility agreement.
