Moving Up The Pay Scale & A 2% Pay Rise

News 1 comment

Did You Move Up The Pay Scale & Receive A 2% Pay Rise?

There was a time when teachers moved up the pay scales automatically; now 8% of primary school teachers and 11% of secondary school teachers are denied pay progression on the Main Scale. Worse, 47% of primary teachers and 37% of secondary school teachers are denied pay progression on the Upper Pay Scale.

Ealing NEU will support and represent any member denied pay progression by making formal appeals to the school and Governing Body on your behalf.

Below are a number of very useful links from the NEU on:

Ealing NEU urges you to contact us if you have been denied pay progression.

Did your school Governing Body agree to award a 2% pay rise to all teachers on the Main Pay Scale?

All teaching unions including the Headteachers Unions (ASCL & NAHT) are recommending that schools award a 2% pay rise for all teachers on the Main Pay Scale. Click here to read the full joint statement.

If your school has not given the 2% to all teachers on the Main Pay Scale, then again do contact us immediately.
