Meeting for all teachers working in Westminster Diocese schools: Wed 7th Dec, 5:30pm, Hamilton House WC1H 9BD

The academisation of Westminster Diocese schools is a dangerous and unnecessary proposal.

The Government has recently announced it is abandoning its policy to force all schools to become academies yet the Westminster Diocese is still considering converting all its schools into Multi Academy Trusts (MATs).

Becoming a MAT does not protect schools from funding cuts and it would mean that your pay, holiday and other employment rights would be at stake.

The Diocese’s plan for mass academisation is not for the educational benefit of our children as MATs do not perform better than councils.

Through a coordinated campaign involving parents, pupils and wider school community, there is no doubt that we can stop this academisation.

Join us at our meeting on Wednesday 7th December at 5:30pm in Mander Hall, NUT Headquarters, Hamilton House, Mabledon Place, WC1N 9BD.
